TECNALIA is an applied research centre committed to the scientific and technological development of the collaborating companies and the society as a whole. TECNALIA was born from the merger of 8 internationally reputed technological centres: Cidemco, ESI, Euve, Fatronik, Inasmet, Labein, Leia and Robotiker, resulting the largest private R+D+i entity in Spain and the fifth in Europe, with a staff of over 1,400 employees and a turnover of nearly EUR 125 million.
TECNALIA has 13 Business Units organized and targeted on a sector basis, made up of multi-disciplinary teams. The group conducting research in the ActiPPTSens forms part of the Transport Unit, and is specialized intelligent materials, sensors and actuator. It has the know-how and resources to develop not only novel sensing materials but also the complete sensor as well as the full application.
