The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is the largest public multidisciplinary research organisation in Spain.
The Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV) is a centre of the CSIC (area of Science and Technology of Materials). ICV is the only institute to address all important problems relative to ceramics, and is the only research centre in Spain dealing with the science and technology of glass.

Whithin the Institute of Ceramics and Glass the Department of Electroceramics carry out research in several fields related to synthesis, processing and applications of electroceramic materials.
